Google Instant – Googles New Search user Interface

Yesterday Google Launches Its new Interface For Search Called Google Instant..To make them faster( I dont think Google is slow ). If you experienced it, after typing the something the search query bar is going up and results are changing  as you type,  you feel the speed of that.

Google thinks search users take too much time to write the whole query in search input box, and apparently i think it would takes more searches for users to get a good or best results. As per my think it would be more effecting to large queries.

Lets look What Google says about it on highlighted view :

“Our key technical insight was that people type slowly, but read quickly, typically taking 300 milliseconds between keystrokes, but only 30 milliseconds (a tenth of the time!) to glance at another part of the page. This means that you can scan a results page while you type.”

You can experience the Google instant via opening the Google.com/instant with sign in. You can see the changes in serps and adword ads while you type.

Now how this changes effects,

As per Google says, we can see increase or decrease on impression in Google analytics and Google webamster tools. As now your chances of get the impressions are more or less depends upon the query. They specified how they counted the impressions.

When someone searches using Google Instant, ad impressions are counted in these situations:

  • The user begins to type a query on Google and clicks anywhere on the page (a search result, an ad, a spell correction, a related search).
  • The user chooses a particular query by clicking the Search button, pressing Enter, or selecting one of the predicted queries.
  • The user stops typing, and the results are displayed for a minimum of three seconds.

What more changes, the series of questions take there…

Rankings are changed ? No rankings are going to stay, because algorithm or search is not changed they changed the UI. So results are going to stay. But now the keywords you choose will play the role to get the clicks for your site.

Is long tail keywords dead with google instant?

Is difference between singular or pular version of keyword is dead?

Is branded business are going to eat the cake with Google Instant ?

How your content will take change due to this change ?

I am going to write detailed post on these issues with the our  core area of online business, which coupons and promotion.

For now as per other SEO experts and gurus, it depend upon how many people use Google instant and how they accept it. But the Game of SEO will chage a bit or lot due to this, Its Guarantee.

Six Inconvenient Truths About SEO

there is truth to the notion that SEO can be a pathway to success. If you run any sort of website, chances are you need traffic, and SEO can deliver it. But there are some inconvenient truths about SEO that often get ignored, especially in ‘newbie‘ circles. Here are six of them.

1. SEO takes time:

Any commitment of less than six months isn’t a commitment at all because in competitive markets it’s my experience that you shouldn’t expect to see results that drive meaningful returns before then.

2. SEO is not fair:

Paid links work and your competitors might be winning by using them in flagrant disregard of Google’s ‘rules‘. But that’s life in the world of SEO. Just as in life generally, some people break the rules, get away with it and prosper as a result. You can fret about this or focus on your own efforts.

3. Top SERPs aren’t always possible:

Let’s be honest: everybody in your market wants top SERPs for the valuable keywords. You all can’t have them.

4. SEO is not all about process:

While you can learn the mechanics, from page structure to link building, there’s something beyond the mechanics. The truth is that there are naturals who just have a natural talent for putting it all together and getting to the top of the SERPs.

5. SEO isn’t a standalone marketing strategy:

There are some people who use nothing more than SEO and whose websites bring in big bucks, but for the average person just starting out, SEO should be looked at as a potentially valuable part of a more comprehensive marketing strategy.

6. The last mile counts more than the first 99:

The process of getting great SERPs can be a long, strenuous journey. But getting great SERPs isn’t the end of this hundred miler. Success is based on what you do with those SERPs.
